Tinubu Hosts Akpabio, Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno at Presidential Villa

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Friday, welcomed the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, to the Presidential Villa in Abuja for a high-level, closed-door meeting.

The visit is part of ongoing strategic engagements between the presidency and key political figures across the states. Governor Umo Eno, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom, arrived at the Villa alongside Senator Akpabio, a former governor of the state, and two other prominent politicians from the region.

Although official statements from the meeting were yet to be released as of press time, sources suggest that discussions may have revolved around strengthening federal-state collaboration, addressing developmental priorities, and harmonizing political interests in the build-up to upcoming national events.

Photographs released by the State House showed the leaders in a relaxed and cordial mood after the meeting—an indication of mutual understanding and continued alliance between the executive and legislative arms, as well as state leadership.

The visit underscores the Tinubu administration’s sustained effort to foster unity, consensus-building, and effective governance through high-level consultations with state actors
