Tinubu Meets Six APC Governors in Private Session at Presidential Villa

Abuja – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu held a closed-door meeting on Monday with six governors elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The private session, shrouded in secrecy, offered no official insight into the discussions, immediately sparking speculation across political circles.

The governors in attendance were Jigawa’s Umar Namadi, Edo’s Monday Okpebholo, Ekiti’s Biodun Oyebanji, Kogi’s Usman Ododo, Sokoto’s Aliyu Sokoto, and Kebbi’s Dr. Nasir Idris. They were ushered directly into the President’s office upon arrival.

Sources indicated that the meeting lasted under an hour, yet the confidential nature of the gathering has raised questions about potential topics, particularly as Nigeria continues to face mounting security challenges.

Officials within the Presidential Villa declined to provide comments, and attempts to speak with the governors afterward proved unsuccessful.

Political analysts suggest the session could be linked to ongoing consultations ahead of key national and party decisions in the coming months.

As developments unfold, more details are expected to surface regarding the agenda of this highly discreet meeting.
