In addition to congratulating Nigerian Muslims and the Muslim Ummah worldwide on Eid-el-Kabir, President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to emulate Prophet Ibrahim’s (Peace Be Upon Him) example of selflessness, sacrifice, and dedication.
“Eid-el-Kabir represents the high point of the sacred first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, a period filled with opportunities for acts of worship and good deeds,” highlighted Tinubu in his Eid-el-Kabir message, underscoring the significance of the occasion.
The President also reaffirmed his commitment to these values by emphasizing the value of fortitude, tolerance, compassion, and dedication to the nation’s advancement. “As we execute bold reforms, I reaffirm my commitment to these values and demonstrate my profound gratitude for the faith, patience, and perseverance Nigerians exhibit,” he said.
As he said, “We may not yet be where we aspire to be, but I urge all Nigerians not to lose hope,” Tinubu acknowledged the difficulties Nigerians have encountered but urged people to hope. “The country is entering a new era of renewed hope and prosperity,” he told them, “and the hardest days are behind them.”

The promise we made two years ago of a new age of prosperity and hope is about to come true. According to Tinubu, “the perseverance of leaders in the public and private sectors, along with the unwavering support of the majority of Nigerians, is producing results, even though the journey has not been easy and some questioned our direction.”
The President urged Nigerians to remain optimistic and continue, stressing that the reforms are taking place and that important economic indicators are changing in a favorable way. He also urged Nigerians to look out for one other’s health, especially at this time of year.
“Eid-el-Kabir encourages love, kindness, and giving to everyone, irrespective of background or religion.” Recalling the recent flooding in Mokwa, Niger State, Tinubu urged Nigerians to work with the government to provide relief to the impacted individuals, saying, “Let us look out for one another’s well-being during this season and always.”
Ending with the words, “May the joy and blessings of Eid-ul-Adha multiply in our lives and the life of our great nation,” he prayed for Nigeria’s leaders, front-line officers, and the peace and prosperity of the nation.
Show love to others.
