In an interview conducted in Lagos on Wednesday, Mr. Dele Oladeji, the party’s State Chairman, stated as much.

According to Oladeji, it is praiseworthy that fewer bureaucrats are traveling domestically and abroad with the president and other senior government figures.

It has been long overdue, but he believes the president’s directive will salvage the economy and inspire hope among the general public. High governance costs are the country’s main issue.

“The reduction in the number of entourage and the expense of the estacode is a positive trend. Nigeria must make significant financial savings on unnecessary expenses.

“Although we concur with the President, we believe more needs to be done to lower the cost of governance so that the average Nigerian can breathe,” stated Oladeji.

Remember that on Tuesday, Tinubu’s “massive cost-cutting measures” included this move, according to Ajuri Ngelale, the Presidential Spokesperson, as reported by NAN.

The president, vice president, and first lady’s offices are among the federal government’s complete machinery that are impacted by the cost-cutting operation, according to Ngelale.

The new policy states that the President will never again travel to a state with a large number of security personnel from Abuja; instead, local security services would guard him anytime he travels.

He said that First Lady Remi Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima should both be subject to the same legislation. All ministers were only allowed to bring four employees, appointees, and the like on any approved overseas trip, according to Tinubu.
Heads of government agencies will henceforth only be allowed to bring two staff members on any given trip, according to the president’s spokesperson.

To provide additional detail, Mr. Ngelale stated that Tinubu had instructed that he would only let a maximum of 20 people to accompany him on any foreign trip.

In the First Lady’s situation, Ngelale stated, “That number will be reduced to five.”

“The vice president’s entourage on official foreign trips will be limited to five members, and the vice president’s wife will also be subject to a five-member limit.”

Mr. Ngelale stated that the President has “approved a new limit of 25 members of staff to accompany him on domestic trips within the country” with regard to local travels.

The First Lady’s official travel companions are now restricted to ten employees from the Office of the First Lady.
“On official domestic trips, the Vice President may bring up to 15 staff members, and his spouse may bring up to 10 staff members.”
