Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Malo Gusto from Lyon on a permanent deal.
The Blues confirmed the singing of the French right-back via their verified Twitter page on Sunday.
According to the statement, the deal will last until June 2030. However, the 19-year-old defender will remain at Lyon on loan until the end of the season.
“Malo Gusto joins Chelsea on a deal until June 2030 and will spend the rest of the season on loan at Lyon,” the club tweeted.
According to transfer market expert, Fabrizio Romano the deal is worth €30m plus add-ons.
Meanwhile, Gusto has expressed excitement about joining the English Premier League giants.
“I chose Chelsea because it’s a very big club and I very like the big project. Very happy to be here – I also like the city,” he said.
