Troops Secure Freedom of Abducted Fulani Resident in Taraba [Photos]

In a quick operation in Lau Local Government Area (LGA), troops stationed in Taraba State have successfully freed a kidnapped victim, identified as Alhaji Shuaibu, 40.

Alhaji Shuaibu, a Fulani who lives in Yelwata Community in Ardo-Kola LGA, was identified as the victim.

Zagazola Makama, a security specialist, claims that the man was kidnapped on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at approximately 0905 hours in the vicinity of Yaja village in Lau LGA.

Based on reliable human intelligence, the deployed troops started chasing the abductors right away.

At around 1100 hours on the same day, the victim was saved unhurt, indicating a quick response time of less than two hours.
The security situation in the area is confirmed to remain calm, with security personnel maintaining vigilance and alertness to prevent any further incidents.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old man, Abubakar Hassan, sustained gunshot injuries during a raid conducted by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at Ngurore Market in Yola North Local Government Area of Yobe State.

It was reported that the incident occurred around 10:00 a.m. on December 10, 2025, during a raid targeting a suspected drug den within the market.
The NDLEA agents rushed a ghetto inside the market and started firing intermittently, according to sources who spoke with security expert Zagazola Makama about the incident.

The source claims that Hassan, a member of the Jambutu village, was struck in the stomach and right leg by a stray bullet as a result of the NDLEA agents’ actions.

It was reported that Ngurore’s Divisional Police Officer (DPO) had visited the spot soon after the occurrence. The sufferer was taken right away to Banene Hospital in Ngurore, where he is still undergoing treatment and is doing well.
