Video: Hundreds Attend 2024 OPM Screening for free skills acquisition

The 2024 OPM Free Skills Acquisition Scheme screening exercise was massive, with hundreds of applicants at the church headquarters in Port Harcourt on Monday.

A video on the church Facebook page shows hundreds of applicants waiting to be screened at Mbodu, In Alu, Port Harcourt.

The church foundation OPM Foundation runs the scheme, which provides humanitarian aid to the poor. The scheme offers free training to all trainees.

Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, the church’s founder, told REPORT AFRIQUE that all trainees’ fees are paid by OPM tithes and offerings.
OPM believes in giving back to society and people. Thus, the OPM church’s foundation offers many humanitarian programs, including the Free Skill Acquisition Scheme. REPORT AFRIQUE quoted Pastor Chinyere.

Thousand Lives Changed By OPM Skills Acquisition Scheme
The OPM Free Skill Acquisition Scheme has helped thousands of poor youth for 13 years. The Scheme teaches applicants basic and advanced skills in the following areas:

1. Pipeline welding

2) SCRAPFOLD

4. HAT/BAG MAKING

5. Feminine tailoring

6. Male tailoring

7. Oil Rigging

8. Marine Engineering

9. Oil well drilling, completion, and production technology

10. Pipeline Fitting

Recently, the court granted bail to Omoyele Sowore and four others.

13. Driving defensively

14. CATERING AND FOOD

15. Furniture-making

16. Safety, health, and environment

17. Paintmaking

18. Men’s shoemaking

Successful trainees receive a job-marketable certificate.

OPM’s humanitarian work includes a scholarship program that has helped thousands of Nigerian and foreign university students.
