More than twenty-four hours after President Bola Tinubu ordered Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) officials to unseal assets seized for non-payment of ground rent, the PDP’s national headquarters remains locked and key.
According to reports, Tinubu intervened and ordered the unsealing of the defaulting homes after the FCTA started a mass sealing of houses on Monday, which caused a stir.
The President advised the defaulters to regularize all of their land titles prior to the deadline and granted them a 14-day grace time to pay the ground rent with a penalty of ₦2 million.

The PDP headquarters gate in Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, was still padlocked at around 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, according to Daily Trust, with the FCTA seal adhered to the lock.
According to reports, several party employees were observed sitting outside the main entrance, while others wandered about, complaining about the situation.

Speaking off the record, a staff member expressed his suspicions about the situation, saying he believes there is an underlying directive that PDP should not be opened.

“I was here yesterday when the FCTA staff came around,” the individual stated. They went to the Ibro Hotel, FIRS, and NAPTIP and opened them all. They drove off as soon as they arrived at our office.

“I accompanied them to their office and spoke with the Lands director, but he informed me that they are still awaiting AGIS’s directive to unseal PDP.”

The PDP has not yet released an official response to the most recent development as of the time this report was filed.
