Wike Predicts Abuja Will Rival Global Cities Before Tinubu’s Term Ends

Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, or FCT, reaffirmed on Wednesday that the capital city would change before President Bola Tinubu’s term ends.

Wike stated that before Tinubu’s term ends, the FCT will be able to compete with other cities worldwide thanks to its road networks and other essential facilities.

He gave a speech at the groundbreaking ceremony for the three-span bridge that would connect Kaura District’s Access Arterial Road S1 from Ring Road 2 to the FCT Fire Service Station.

Wike claims: “As I have stated previously, the Renewed Agenda hopes that Abuja would be a different place by the end of Mr. President’s first term. Abuja will face competition from other global cities.

The Minister also praised the area council chairs and security agencies for their assistance in making Abuja safe.

“Let me express my gratitude to the security agencies for their efforts in keeping us secure in the Federal Capital Territory. He praised the chairman of the Area Council for providing us with all the assistance we needed.

Wike further stated that the “greater beneficiaries of all these things we are doing” are the Kwali, Kuje, AMAC, Bwari, and Gwagwalada area councils.

“Abaji is the only one who has not gained as much as they have, but things will improve for them. “The best thinkers are those who think last,” he continued.
