Positive reactions has continued to trail the recent award of ‘Icon of Peaceful Coexistence in Nigeria’ on the Executive Secretary of Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Rev. Yakubu Pam by TheNigerian News, a leading online media platform, during her 5th-year anniversary ceremony on Thursday, 16/12/2021.

Rev. Yakubu Pam who joined other notable personalities who have devoted themselves to selfless services to God and humanity, to be recognized by the media outfit, has been an unwavering advocate of peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.

A group known as Young Christian Forum of Nigeria, while congratulating Rev. Yakubu Pam, described the Pilgrims commission boss as a “man of peace and a great patriot who has used his current position to preach peaceful co-existence amongst Nigerians”.

Further speaking on the award, the leader of the group, Itodo Goodluck, said Rev. Pam is amongst the few great achievers who have never been commensurately decorated for their uncommon devotion to the greater good of humanity, congratulating TheNigerian News for doing the unusual by giving honour to whom it is due. Itodo also notes that Rev. Pam who has left a tall mark of excellence and cerebral leadership since his inception as the Executive Secretary of NCPC, is a man who has like the lamb of God, prepared to take any risks in the quest for a harmonious coexistence in Nigeria.

He expressed his optimism that this recognition will buoy Rev. Pam who has remained one of the few voices of peace in “a nation badly divided along ethnic, religious and regional lines, to be dauntless in his vigorous pursuit for a one united, peaceful Nigeria.

Itodo also used the opportunity to call on other religious leaders to emulate Rev. Pam’s peace advocacy and take advantage of their positions and influences to advocate for peace in Nigeria.

“Permit me to conclude this release by reiterating that this group rejoices with Rev. Yakubu Pam for the award well-deserved and will continue to support his peace initiatives which are geared towards healing our dear country and offering a platform of peace to every strata of the society“, Itodo Goodluck said.
