Zulum Reconstitutes Board of Bureau of Public Procurement

The reorganization of the Board for the Borno State Bureau for Public Procurement has been approved by Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, the governor of Borno State.

After the existing chairman and board members have completed their allotted four-year terms, the decision is made.

Section 4(1) of the Borno State Bureau for Public Procurement and Other Related Laws gives the governor the authority to reassemble the Board, according to a statement made by Dauda Iliya, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media.

“His Excellency, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, has reconstituted a new Board for the proper running of the Borno State Bureau for Public Procurement after the Chairman and Members of the Board have served for the statutory period of four (4) years.”

The statement goes on to say that the newly appointed Board will make sure the Bureau runs smoothly.

The Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development is the chairman of the newly formed board.

Representatives of the Secretary of the State Government, the Attorney General, the Commissioner for Justice, and the Head of Service were among the other members of the Board.

Member, Representative of Civil Society Organizations – Member, Representative of Professional Body – Member, Alhaji Abba Kaka Alibe (Borno Central) – Member, Allawan Maina Saleh (Borno Central) – Member, Alhaji Idriss Mai Jalo (Borno South) – Member, Mr. Kingo K. Yanga (Borno South) – Member, Barr. Mele Waruma (Borno North) – Member, and Alhaji Aliyu Kyari – Member.
The Secretary will be the Director General of the Bureau for Public Procurement.

The State Assembly has not yet confirmed the nomination.
