Last weekend’s invasion of the Abuja residence of former Chairman of the Nigerian Social Insurance Trust Fund(NSITF), Mrs Ngozi Olojeme may have sent her into coma as operatives of the Economics and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] had invaded her residence without warrant.
Reports indicate that Olojeme is presently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital after what a source close to her described as “a horrifying experience” from men of the EFCC who invaded her house at about 6am last saturday morning.
The invasion of her residence is said to be in connection with the alleged issue of loan between her and oil mogul, Chief Arthur Eze. Eze had alleged that Olojeme is owing her her the sum of $2.8 Million and another N240 Million in loans, an allegation she denied.
The issue is already before an Abuja High Court. However, it is Surprising that the EFCC has chosen to become an arbiter in a business transaction between two legally binding citIzens like in the case of Innoso Motorcycles and GTBank.
Olojeme is said to be shocked and distraught that she had to go through the harrowing experience despite being on Administrative bail at the EFCC and the alleged transaction with her former business associate remains a civil matter.
The operation that lasted for about 12 hours during which every entrance leading to her residence was blocked.
In the words of her Neighbour’s “This remains the most traumatic experience for everyone” as confirmed to this news portal.
