Wasiu Ayinde, a well-known Nigerian Fuji musician better known by his stage name Kwam1, has criticized his mentor and senior colleague Ayinla Kollington for failing to return his friendly gesture.
As you may remember, Kwam1’s mother passed away on January 18, 2025, and was buried that same day in celebration of Islamic customs.
But Kwam1 vented his rage in an interview with Agbaletu Radio’s On Air Personality, OAP Bamidele Adeyanju, recounting how he supported Kollington after his mother passed away and took care of all the money.
He expressed his displeasure and charged Kollington with improperly repaying him.

“I am extremely upset with Alhaji Kollington for failing to contact me or offer my condolences when my mother passed away,” Kwam1 stated. To bury his own mother, I accompanied him. I helped him make sure his mother was buried properly. Governors were among the dignitaries I brought to the funeral, and I was solely responsible for all financial arrangements.
Check out how he reimbursed me. After everything I did for him, what happened? The only explanation he had was that I didn’t answer his call, and he was in Nigeria, well and happy, when my mother died. Do I not have the right to be angry?
