Dele Momodu, a leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has cautioned politicians against letting their own ambitions drive them to ruin.
Momodu was responding to statements made by David Mark, the Interim National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), who instructed Senate President Godswill Akpabio to cease speaking on behalf of INEC over the electronic transmission of election results.
Mark tasked the Senate and Akpabio with passing legislation that would provide INEC the authority to make decisions on the electronic transmission of results.
The former Senate President stated in an Abuja speech that Nigerians prefer electronic results broadcasting.
“Thank you sir, our ADC Chairman, Brigadier General David Mark (rtd.), for your brilliant intervention,” Momodu wrote in response on X.
“I personally advise our legislators to avoid being driven to hell fire by the personal ambition of others. Encourage open democratic principles and values.
