Full List: States Controlled by APC, PDP & Others After Fintiri’s Defection

The All Progressives Congress (APC) officially replaced the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday, according to Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.

According to the governor, the action was taken because Adamawa State needed to further its development and advancement.

According to reports, the APC currently controls 30 of Nigeria’s 36 states after his defection.

While the Accord Party dominates Osun State, the Labour Party governs Abia State, the PDP owns Oyo, Bauchi, and Zamfara, and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) still controls Anambra State.

Here is a complete list of states under APC authority.

Other news: The defection of Ahmadu Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa State, from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been characterized by the presidency as a major setback for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

In a tweet on his verified 𝕏 profile on Friday, Bayo Onanuga, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Information and Strategy, that Atiku leave politics and move to Dubai, his second home.

He claimed that Adamawa Governor Fintiri had joined the APC, hence denying President Tinubu’s party access to Atiku’s whole home base. This is a serious setback for Atiku.

Given that the presidential election is less than a year away, Fintiri’s defection is undoubtedly a significant setback for Atiku Abubakar, the front-runner.

His ADC is not well recognized in the state. Given that his governor has transformed the APC into an Adamawa juggernaut, he most definitely has to reevaluate his aspirations.

“A politician has no business pitching his candidacy to outsiders if he is not very popular at home. Atiku should think about leaving politics and relocating to his second house in Dubai.
