Due to Nigeria’s inadequate power supply, veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has disclosed that he spends over ₦40,000 every day to maintain energy in his home.
The 78-year-old actor reportedly said this in an interview with Africa Independent Television, when he discussed the difficulties Nigerians endure due to erratic energy.
He claims that because he must rely on many electrical sources to satisfy his daily demands, the expense of keeping his house powered has increased significantly.
According to Edochie, he spends roughly ₦10,000 every day on purchasing electrical units from the distribution firm.
He also spends ₦10,000 on gas for a second generator and ₦20,000 on diesel to run his generator.
His home spends ₦40,000 a day on electricity.
The actor expressed concern about the situation, particularly in light of the fact that many people across are dealing with the same issue.
He also voiced concern about the fact that many individuals vying for political office don’t seem to be interested in finding solutions to the problems that regular Nigerians confront on a daily basis.
It really bothers me. Then I listen to those who want nothing more than to enter politics and have power. According to Pete Edochie, “no one seems to be concerned about what’s happening to the common man.”
