‘They Don’t Know What They’re Doing’ – ADC Rejects Kingibe Suspension

The alleged suspension of Senator Ireti Kingibe by her Wuse ward has been deemed invalid by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) national leadership.

Bolaji Abdullahi, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, stated that the ward lacked the power to remove a sitting senator from the party.

In response to questions from Leadership Newspaper, Abdullahi denied the claimed activity.

When he first responded to the news, he claimed not to have received any official confirmation of the suspension.

“I’m not sure. He said, “I don’t have this information.”

He clarified, however, that such a decision would not have constitutional validity even if it had been made at the ward level.

“A senator cannot be suspended from the party by the ward. “They have no idea what they are doing,” Abdullahi said.

Senator Kingibe responded to the news by calling the alleged suspension unlawful and ineffective.

She maintained that the individuals responsible for the action did not have the constitutional right to do so.

The politician claims that those in charge of the announcement did not know the party’s constitution.
