ADC Sets Dates for Party Congresses and National Convention

The schedule of events for its national convention and congresses has been made public by the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Polling Unit and Ward Congresses will take place on April 7, 2026, followed by Local Government Area Congresses on April 9 and State Congresses on April 11, according to a public announcement signed by National Organizing Secretary Prince Chinedu Idigo and National Publicity Secretary Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi.

The process will culminate at the party’s National Convention, which is set for April 14, 2026, according to the statement.

Members who were interested in running for open posts were advised by the party to use the official ADC website to obtain and submit the necessary nomination or expression of interest forms.

The following is the authorized schedule:
Ward and Polling Unit Congresses: Tuesday, April 7, 2026
Congresses of Local Government Areas: Thursday, April 9, 2026
State Congresses: April 11, 2026, Saturday
National Convention: April 14, 2026, Tuesday

The official program of events for the party’s 2026 national congresses and National Convention is today announced by the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

This procedure is a component of the party’s constitutional obligation to update its leadership structures at every level of the organization, starting with the polling places and wards and continuing through the state and local governments until reaching the National Convention.

It is recommended that party members who wish to run for any open posts at the state, local, or ward levels download, fill out, and submit the appropriate nomination or expression of interest forms via the party’s official platform.
