Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, a seasoned Nollywood actress, has responded to inquiries on her friendship with Genevieve Nnaji, another actress.
According to a source, there is a widespread belief that the movie stars did not get along, especially since they are no longer spotted together as they were in the beginning of their careers.
But the actor affirmed that their relationship is still solid in a recent interview with Pulse Nigeria.
Fans shouldn’t be concerned about any conflicts between them, she said.
“Are Omotola and Genevieve still friends?” the interviewer inquired.
“Oh, Jesus Christ. We’re doing fine,” she remarked.
The actress also mentioned Chidi Mokeme as her favorite Nollywood actor, expressing her appreciation for him.
Omotola said that Mokeme is a gifted actress who never ceases to amaze her, both on and off film.
Omotola denied a rumored conflict with Genevieve in an earlier interview.
She emphasized that it was comparable to the rumors people make about Nigerian musicians and explained that they were never fighting.
“Na them start the quarrel before we know say we dey quarrel,” Omotola added, accusing supporters of pitting them against one another. We must therefore resolve the conflict. There was no argument. We spoke, but it’s not necessary for people to be great friends. We speak normally, just as in a movie.
