Kano Governor Removes Investment Commissioner, Orders Immediate Handover

Shehu Wada Sagagi was dismissed from his role as Commissioner for Investment, Commerce, and Industry by Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, effective immediately.

Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor’s spokeswoman, made the announcement in a statement on Thursday.

The statement claims that Sagagi has been instructed to promptly transfer all ministerial responsibilities to the Director of Commerce.

The governor “acknowledged Sagagi’s contributions to the development of the state, particularly in the areas of politics, religion, small and medium enterprises,” according to the statement.

The former commissioner was thanked by Governor Yusuf for his contribution while in office.

The governor wished him well in his future endeavors and reassured the populace that his administration is still committed to providing efficient governance and enhancing public services.

The action is a part of the government’s continuous efforts to reorganize its system for improved performance and long-term growth, the statement continued.
