Boko Haram Attack Claims Life of Brigade Commander in Borno

According to reports, Boko Haram rebels killed Brig.-Gen. O. Braimah, the Brigade Commander of the Joint Task Force in Benesheikh, Kaga Local Government Area, Borno State.

Many of the attackers were slain during the assault on the military formation, according to sources who spoke with Vanguard.

Mallam Lawa Benesheikh, a social media user, revealed this in a post on Thursday, claiming that a sizable contingent of insurgents overran the base.

“Inna’illaihin raji’un wa Innalillahi.”

Unfortunately, Benishiehk’s commanding commander has been killed by Boko Haram once more.

“Yesterday night, a large number of insurgents rushed the military formation, causing this regrettable incident.

He wrote, “May the spirits of the fallen heroes rest in peace.”

The brigade commander’s death was also verified by Zanna Ajimi, the chairman of the Kaga Local Government Area.

Ajimi claimed to have just visited the military installation and could confirm that Braimah was one of the people slain in the assault.

“Yes, we just left the military base, and I can tell you that one of the casualties is the brigade commander,” he said.

As of the time this article was filed, the precise number of rebels killed during the attack could not be verified, according to sources.
