Atiku and Tinubu Share Same Ideology, Says Osinbajo’s Former Aide

Laolu Akande, who used to work as a media aide for former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, said on Friday that Atiku Abubakar and President Bola Tinubu think the same way.

Akande criticized Atiku on Channels Television’s Inside Sources show for saying that Tinubu was trying to turn Nigeria into a one-party state.

Akande said that Atiku ruined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by going against the party’s plan for rotation.

He did, however, notice that Atiku and Tinubu belong to the same political school of thought because they both see power as a way to get ahead.

He said, “Let me show you where our political elites are today.” For example, the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar ruined the PDP by going against the national agreement on rotational presidency. He is now saying that President Bola Tinubu and his party are setting up a one-party state in Nigeria.

“That is the President (Tinubu) under his watch. We have an INEC leadership that acts like it doesn’t know its job is to be neutral as an umpire.

“So you can ask, “Which is which?” Both Atiku and Tinubu belong to the school of thought that sees political power as an end to justifying the need; they see power as something that is more to their advantage rather than something that is meant to change the lives of the people.

“They’re not that different, especially when it comes to how the Nigerian people feel. Their tactics and strategies may be different, but our goal of a new Nigeria is much more important than all of those milky businesses I’ve mentioned. So, we need to keep going no matter what our politicians do to take sides on anything that could affect the future of our country, like what’s going on now.

“We need to keep partisan stories out of the big problems that will affect our country’s future.”
