Yunusa Tanko, the National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, is hopeful that the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket will win the presidential election in 2027 and that it will be over by noon.
Tanko said this during an interview on Channels Television’s “Politics Today” show in response to a comment by Dele Momodu, a leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), who said he would rather have an Atiku-Obi ticket.
In an interview, Momodu said he would support a possible alliance between former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi in 2023. This was in response to a question about the ADC’s chances in the 2027 general election.
He said, “I’d put him (Atiku) with Peter Obi because they worked together in 2019, so they already have similar personalities.” Peter Obi came in third in the last election, so you don’t have to work too hard to keep and attract the same people who love him.
Tanko asked Momodu, “Do you want to pick someone who will win the primary and lose the election?”
Tanko said that the ADC will win the 2027 election with Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State.
He said, “The ADC will lose the election if they don’t zone the presidency to the South.” The election will be over by noon with an Obi-Kwankwaso ticket.
