“Obi Has Over 60% Chance” – Dan Ulasi Backs Peter Obi

Dan Ulasi, a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says that Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, has a better than 60% chance of becoming president of Nigeria.

On Thursday, Ulasi said this on the Morning Show on Arise Television.

Ulasi said that the growing political alignment between Peter Obi and former presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso is a sign of ongoing efforts to build national consensus before future elections.

Ulasi stressed that both Peter Obi and Kwankwaso have a lot of power in their own areas and that working together could start a new era of growth and progress for the country.

He said, “The Peter Obi and Kwankwaso effect is part of the process we are going through to build bridges across this country.” You shouldn’t say Kwankwaso in the North or Peter Obi in the South.

“So, if God wills it, the two of them will come together and one of them will become president, as we hope. It is an unwritten rule that the South will have eight years, and the North has had eight years under Buhari, so we have four more years to finish the southern term.

“The idea of Peter Obi and Kwankwaso is going to be an exciting and very strong political process that, if it works out—only God knows what will happen tomorrow—will bring about a new era of growth and development for this country. That is why we are supporting Peter Obi.”

“Based on what’s going on in the country, he (Peter Obi) has a better than 60% chance of becoming President.”
