2027: APC Speaks on Possible Extension of Deadline for Sale of Election Forms

The All Progressives Congress (APC), has said that the National Working Committee (NWC) will determine if there is need to extend the approved period for the sales of expression of interest and nomination forms to aspirants in the 2027 general elections.

The APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, disclosed this while addressing journalists on Wednesday in Abuja.

However, he said the party is now working within the timelines approved as per the schedule of sales activities and time released earlier.

‘The party’s National Working Committee (NWC) will take a decision at its meeting if there is room for extension.

“There is a timeline for activities and if there will be any extension we will follow due process.

“No extensions for the sale of the forms at the moment,” he stated.

Yilwatda said there was no problem with the sale of forms adding that all was going well.

“The APC would give all aspirant a level playing ground,” he said.

“The APC is still one of the most democratic parties in the country, which gives level playing ground to all members.

“The democracy we have in Nigeria is such that somebody has even picked form to contest for the presidency.

“The number of persons coming to contest in our party shows that it is the most acceptable in Nigeria.

“There is no challenge in the sale of forms at the moment as the banks were doing the needful and party staff were overseeing the clearance.

“The department that receives the receipts is doing its job and monitoring the social media to see if people are complaining,” he said.
