Woman Behind Kano “Underwear Campaign” Lands Political Appointment

Gida-Gida TikTokers Chairman, Fatima Naseer Teemahcool, who led a recent display of underwears during a recent visit to Kano State by Nigeria’s First Lady, Remi Tinubu, has been given a political appointment.

It was gathered that she was appointed by the Chairman of Nassarawa Local Government in Kano, Yusuf Imam Ogan Boye, as the officer in charge of women affairs.

The letter of appointment was signed by the secretary to the local government, Ado Mohammed Hotoro, according to the report.

According to the letter, the decision was based on Teema Cool’s contributions and commitment to the growth of the local government.

She has been instructed to perform her duties in accordance with the rules and regulations that govern the work of the council.

Teema Cool, who is said to be a known face in Kano politics, made national headlines last week for leading the controversial display of underwear ridiculing former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso.
But she has since apologised and promised never to do it again after a string of condemnations inside and outside the state.

On the other hand, the Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf has denied any connection with the controversial display of red underwear by a group of young women at a rally held in honour of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu.

The Kano State Governor said he was not aware of such activity and did not approve such activity.

He also condemned the public display of underwear featured during the programme, saying that it was against the cultural and religious values of the people of the state.
