Senator Sarafadeen Alli, Oyo South, has emerged victorious in the Oyo State All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship primary election.
The lawmaker polled 578,143 votes, defeating former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu who polled 19,193 votes and one other.
Adelabu resigned his appointment as a minister to contest for the governorship seat of Oyo State.
It was said that Adelabu had alleged that the primary election was rigged.
Adelabu made the allegation on Thursday when he interacted with newsmen after voting at his ward.
The ex-minister told journalists: “I have to sound this note of warning that it is not like this in a lot of other wards.
“Reports reaching me state that there are a lot of gross misconducts in the other wards ranging from various forms of infractions.
“In some wards, they held the election hours before the appointed time and wrote the figures they liked.
