Adewale Giwa, Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, has stated that President Bola Tinubu is wiser than the 2023 presidential candidates of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso; the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar; and the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.

According to Pastor Giwa, Atiku, Obi, and Kwankwaso are making the incorrect political moves and will be unable to unseat Tinubu in 2027.

Pat Utomi, a political economist, revealed that Atiku, Kwankwaso, and Obi had agreed to build a strong political party with the goal of ousting Tinubu in 2027.

In response, Pastor Giwa stated that Tinubu may make life tough for opposing parties by turning things against them. “They’re making the incorrect move at the wrong time. Why didn’t they get together before the 2023 presidential election?

“You can’t take power away from a reigning party unless you clean up your own act. Were they asleep and snoring before the 2023 election?

“I told one of them before the election that if he truly loved Nigeria, he would have supported a candidate from his own party rather than defecting to another. It needed a perfect political storm to overthrow former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015. The opposition parties were united, and they all set their own interests aside to strongly support whoever they proposed for the election.

“I don’t see them joining forces to build a powerful opposition party. President Tinubu is more astute than them. He is a seasoned veteran who knows how to play his game. If Tinubu decides to turn Nigeria around today, the opposition parties will be nowhere to be seen.

“As I stated earlier, if President Tinubu makes Nigerians happy anytime, soon, the opposition parties will have nothing to complain about.”

Giwa spoke on the church’s role in preparing Nigerians for the 2027 election, saying: “The church is split just as political parties are divided. There will never be a day when the church will speak as one.”
