The caretaker committee of Khana local government area of Rivers State, will domesticate Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s “Rivers First” Mantra, by way of empowering and putting the people of the area first.

The supervisor for youth affairs, Dr Legborsi Yamaabana, who disclosed this when he received leaders of the National Union of Khana Students (NUKS) in Bori, said the Hon. Marvin Yobana-led caretaker committee was committed to carrying people of the LGA along in the scheme of things.

Yamaabana assured the students of Yobana’s open-door policy and appealed for their support for the leadership of Fubara and the caretaker committee.

He condemned the recent protest by people from a section of the LGA, calling for the removal of the committee chairman, saying that the protest was sponsored by those envious of Yobana’s achievements within just one month in office.

In his remarks, NUKS national president, Comrade Meelubari Deede, pledged their unflinching support to the governor and the caretaker chairman.
