The Senate Minority Whip, Senator Osita Ngwu, has congratulated the immediate-past Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives and Chief of Staff to the Deputy Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu, as he clocks 62 years old on August 3.
Senator Ngwu, in a congratulatory message to Okechukwu, described him as a man of unprecedented legislative and administrative acumen whose giant strides in the legislature remained unchallenged.
The lawmaker representing Enugu West Senatorial District in the Senate said as his former representative in the House of Representatives, the veteran parliamentarian remains a source of inspiration to him and others committed to progress, peace and stability of Enugu and Nigeria as a whole.
He said, “On behalf of my family, the good people of Enugu West Senatorial District, I join other well wishers in celebrating an icon of legislative activism and promoter of peace, progress and stability of our dear state and the country, the immediate past Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives and Chief of Staff to the Deputy Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu on the occasion of his 62nd birthday anniversary.
