A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli, has responded to the call by Chief Michael Johnny on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to renew the tenure of the managing director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku.

Johnny, the Agadiwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Delta State, cited malfeasance, maladministration and politicisation of the commission under the current leadership of the agency as the reason for his call.

Bu in a statement in Yenagoa yesterday, Sunny-Goli described Chief Johnny as an attention seeker whose views clearly contradict those of the good people of the Niger Delta region. He said there was a consensus opinion in the region that Dr. Ogbuku is the best thing to happen to the NDDC since its inception.
