The National headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Abuja has officially been served a court order halting the party’s congress at all levels in Nasarawa State.

The order was delivered through substituted service following an ex parte motion filed by 16 party members, led by Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, representing Nasarawa South in the Nigerian Senate.

The Nasarawa State High Court in Doma, presided over by Justice Abdullahi Hassan Shams Shama, issued the order, which temporarily stops the PDP from holding its congress in the state.

The court also granted the applicants’ request for substituted service and adjourned the case to October 3, 2024, for further hearing.

The suit includes prominent figures such as Senator Suleiman Asonya Adokwe, Michael Abdul, Nuhu Angbazo, Musa Elayo, Abdulkarim Usman Ombamas, and several other PDP members from Nasarawa State.
