“The President has also ordered many agencies to come down to Jigawa and aid the victims in rebuilding the community and assisting the affected families,” Akume said.

Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, who was among the delegation, expressed concern over the incident and condoled the families of those who lost their lives.

Abdulrazaq however, cautioned Nigerian citizens against scooping fuel whenever such accidents occurred.

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Shehu Muhammed, said an investigation had been launched by the corps.

He said that based on the presidential order, the corps would get more incentives to reduce road accidents in the country.

Muhammed expressed dismay over the unfortunate tanker explosion and cautioned road users violating regulations.
