Timi Frank, a former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has claimed that recent court verdicts and security measures were part of a scheme to push Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara to join the APC or risk dismissal.
Frank criticized the recent Federal High Court order to freeze Rivers State’s monthly allocations, portraying it as an attempt to force Fubara into compliance.

According to Frank, the court’s decision is part of a “scripted strategy” to destabilize the governor’s government.

“The President’s silence over these moves suggests implicit support,” Frank claimed, accusing federal institutions and security agencies of siding with Fubara.

He said that these acts were staged to force the governor to bow to the federal government’s objectives or risk being removed.

Frank warned of probable unrest, stating that interfering with Rivers State’s administration or money could provoke substantial pushback from the region.

“Any unlawful action targeting Rivers State will face strong resistance from its people and the entire Niger Delta,” he stated, implying that such resistance may have far-reaching effects.

He asked Governor Fubara to be steadfast in protecting the state, reminding him that the people of Rivers are with him.

He also urged the international community to closely monitor the situation, stating that peace in the Niger Delta is vital for both local residents and multinational oil companies in the region.
