President Bola Tinubu has stated that organisers are responsible for the death of over 60 people recorded in the stampedes in Ibadan, Anambra and Abuja.
Tinubu stated this on Monday during his first Presidential Media Chat in Lagos.
“I see this as a “very grave error” on the part of the organisers,” the Nigerian leader said
He also said, “I’ve been giving to the less privileged at Bourdillon for the past 25 years, we’ve never experienced stampede.”
TheNigerian Online had reported the first stampede in which over 32 children lost their lives in Oyo state

Tinubu blamed organisers for the fatal stampedes that occurred during the distribution of palliatives to the less privileged in three Nigerian cities.
TheNigerian Online also reported that the Federal Capital Territory Police Command confirmed the death of 10 individuals, including four children, in a stampede that occurred during a food distribution event at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Maitama, Abuja, on Saturday.

“Condolences to those who lost a family member, it is good to give. I have been giving out food stuff, commodities etc in Bourdillon. If you know you don’t have enough to give do not publicise it,” Tinubu added.
