According to reports, 37 people were killed in a boat accident that occurred Thursday in the Gbajibo-Mudi community of Kaiama Local Government Area in Kwara State.
Despite the fact that several people survived, reliable sources claim that the boat was overcrowded with over 100 passengers.
The community’s emir, Alhaji Muazu Shehu Omar, and chairman of Kaiama Local Government, Abubakar Abdullahi, are presently on the ground supervising rescue efforts.
