NNPP Chieftain Issues Warning to Lamido: ‘Defame Me Again and I’ll Expose You’

Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, the New Nigeria Peoples Party’s (NNPP) candidate for governor in Jigawa State’s general election in 2023, has threatened to expose Sule Lamido, the state’s former governor, for remarks made against him in his recently published autobiography.
According to reports, Lamido just released his autobiography, “Being True to Myself,” which summarizes political events and other events that occurred in Nigeria from the end of the Second Republic, military intervention, transition plans, and the start of the Fourth Republic.
In his reaction to the book, Ringim said during the party’s meeting in Taura Local Government Area on Wednesday that Lamido had misrepresented his political background and distorted facts.

In the book, NNPP chieftain Lamideo accused former President Goodluck Jonathan of allegedly inflicting injustice on his son, Abdulsalam Abubakar, by detaining Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and other people.
Ringim also disputed Lamido’s assertion that the PDP’s defeat in the 2015 gubernatorial contest was due to the candidate’s avaricious and nasty demeanor.

“In the book, Lamido presents himself as a reliable leader who has never harmed anyone in his political career, which is completely untrue,” he stated.

Due to a number of untrue remarks that require correction, Lamido is not treating himself and his political allies fairly.

He said that the PDP lost the election because, when I ran for governor in the 2015 national election, all of my political supporters defected.

To be clear, even though the PDP is strong and well-liked in the state, the former governor is aware of the part he played in the party’s election defeat.

“I am fully aware of your personal life and political career. I might have to divulge information that would put you in public disgrace if you keep slandering me.
