Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has been accused by former vice president Atiku Abubakar of transforming the altar of God into a political sandbox.
The FCT minister reportedly discussed his opinions on Sunday regarding the nation’s economic crisis and Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
Atiku cautioned Wike that his day of reckoning was not far off, nevertheless, in a statement sent by his media assistant, Paul Ibeh.
“Wike transformed the house of God into a theater of lies and retaliation,” he said.
“The land-grabbing Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, stumbled into church not to ask for forgiveness but to use the altar of the Most High as a political soapbox,” Atiku stated.
“” To be clear, attending church is perfectly OK. Today, I was also in the sanctuary, expressing gratitude to Jehovah for the Coalition’s safe delivery.
Before it could be implemented, the Herod of the FCT made a fruitless attempt to dissolve the coalition. Nevertheless, God won. The coalition is still together.
But what is truly abhorrent is when Wike openly desecrated the holy shrine today with partisan hatred. It reads: “Remove these items! Don’t turn my father’s house into a business! AMP (John 2:16).
But under Wike’s leadership, the house of God turned into a theater of deceit, retaliation, and inebriated haughtiness. Perhaps he ought to have taken the opportunity to express regret for the ease with which he has been giving his sons excellent Abuja properties in what now amounts to a feudal monarchy disguising itself as public service.

“This self-proclaimed democrat of a government by the father, for the sons, had initially rejected these transactions, according to reliable sources by an online daily. When confronted with the truth, he has now turned to intimidation and ordered the arrest of an FCDA government servant for allegedly disclosing documents that revealed his abuse of power.
“” As a Christian, Wike will, like other mortals, be given a burial place that is, on average, eight feet long and two and a half feet wide when he completes his race. It makes less difference if he is impoverished or wealthy (but has no recognized source of money). There isn’t even enough room for his Rolls-Royce.
Has Wike forgotten already that he went to Atiku Abubakar alongside Makinde and other others to plead for the 2023 vice presidential ticket? He also pushed the former vice president’s friends and acquaintances to do the same.
“” Wike obviously forgets that Atiku beat him twice, first in Port Harcourt in 2019 and again in Abuja in 2023. This must be a side effect of alcohol, as it causes selective amnesia.
“” He should get ready for a third and final defeat, this time in Obio-Akpor, right at his door, if he still craves humiliation.
“Wike should keep in mind that God is not made fun of.” The altar is not a propaganda stage. Additionally, the day of reckoning is quickly approaching.
