Outstanding Young Writers Rewarded by Keystone BankCompetition

Leading financial services company Keystone Bank Limited recently honored nine exceptional Nigerian children from all throughout the nation in its “Kiddies” Poetry Competition, reaffirming its dedication to developing future generations.

With the theme “The Future Leader of Nigeria,” the competition aimed to develop early financial literacy through the bank’s flagship Future Account in addition to encouraging children ages 4 to 12 to express themselves creatively.

According to a bank statement, the program attracted a huge number of children from all over the country, and nine outstanding winners from Delta, Edo, Kaduna, Kano, Lagos, Owerri, and Abuja were recognized in three age groups: 4–6, 7–9, and 10–12 years.

Each age group received a cash prize of N300,000 for first place, N200,000 for second place, and N100,000 for third place. The victors were praised for their inventiveness, creativity, and powerful poetic ideas of leadership.

Speaking during the prize presentation ceremony, Mrs. Nnenna Anyim-Okoro, Executive Director, South & Corporate Bank, Keystone Bank, emphasized the bank’s dedication to developing the next generation of Nigerian leaders and promoting national development through early participation.

“At Keystone Bank, we think that the most effective investment we can make is in our children’s minds,” she said.

Nigeria’s limitless potential is demonstrated by the audacity, clarity, and genius of these young poets. There was more to their words than rhyme. They inspired, they envisioned, they challenged.

Beyond poetry, the goal of this competition is to inspire a generational mindset based on innovation, leadership, and accountability. In every part of this nation, Keystone Bank will remain a cornerstone for empowering coming generations.

The poems that were submitted were of an exceptionally high caliber and depth. These youthful voices had the vision of reformers, the passion of dreamers, and the assurance of leaders. “We are honored to support their journeys,” she continued.
