Chiwetalu Agu, an experienced Nollywood actor, has denied rumors that he has passed away, calling them untrue and deceptive.
According to reports, the actor died after battling diabetes and having spine surgery, according to a tale that went viral on social media.
Fans and coworkers were alarmed by the story’s rapid spread.
Agu assured the public that he is still alive and well in a video posted on his official Instagram profile on Friday.
He called the rumor “baseless” and blamed it on bloggers who spread fake information to get attention.
The actor, who was born in Enugu, also bemoaned the ease with which people might accept such allegations without doing any research.
He told the audience that he is still robust and busy and advised them to ignore the story.
