The All Progressives Congress (APC) is reportedly in a panic before the 2027 election, according to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In an interview with reporters in Abuja on Monday, PDP spokesperson Debo Ologunagba claimed that the APC is “shopping endorsements” for President Bola Tinubu.
He charged that the APC and its members had violated the 2022 Electoral Act by running early campaigns.
He claimed that the APC and President Tinubu were anxious about the PDP’s recalibration, which is why the ruling party ran early campaigns.

Nigerians are familiar with the PDP because it does what it does best: it brings people together, fosters collaboration, and gives them a feeling of community.
“Now that the APC has reached a new level of calibration, they panic and start doing what I refer to as endorsement shopping.” Both the president and the APC are seeking support.
“The president and the APC should let their work speak for itself if they are doing well.
Thus, the APC is in a frenzy. They are not doing well, they have failed, and they acknowledge that Nigeria is well aware of the APC’s failure to lead the nation.
“The current state of panic in the APC government is an indication that it has failed. You claim that we should gas and slide your policy even though you know it isn’t working. Nigerians are seeing right through this, thus it isn’t working.
“Let your efforts speak for you. Allow your success to serve as your endorsement.
Any attempt to sway the 2027 election would be opposed, Ologunagba declared, adding that the people must have the freedom to express themselves on the ballot.
“We want the people’s wishes to be reflected in the counted votes.” He stated that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is the sole entity in charge of guaranteeing this and preserving democracy.
To guarantee the mandatory transmission of election results, he demanded a revision to the Electoral Act.
“The electoral process appears to have been manipulated by institutions, based on all available evidence,” he stated.
Nowadays, POS terminals allow private company owners to purchase and withdraw cash from any location in the nation.
Additionally, bank ATMs handle enormous loads and operate almost anywhere. In a rural community, why does an ATM card function when the bimodal voter accreditation system (BVAS) does not?
That seems to be intentional manipulation by the institution. If BVAS, which uses backup batteries, has problems at the precise site yet POS machines at polling stations function flawlessly, it is highly likely that INEC is manipulating the system.
“Nigerians now understand these strategies completely. Legal support and institutionalization are required for BVAS, iReV, and other INEC technologies.
As a party, we will take the initiative. Any tale concerning a glitch will be ignored by Nigerians. There must not be any, as the nation’s current infrastructure allows for the electronic transmission of results.
According to Ologunagba, the PDP is “back and fully set” and would relaunch following the national convention on November 15 and 16.
A number of prominent APC figures and opposition members have supported Tinubu for a second term in power since the year began.
