Dr. George Moghalu, the Labour Party’s candidate for governor of Anambra State, has stated that Mr. Peter Obi, the party’s leader and presidential candidate in the most recent general election, is steadfastly devoted to winning the race.
Moghalu was responding to uncertainty over Peter Obi’s position in the upcoming gubernatorial election, since some individuals think he is siding with Mr. John Nwosu, a candidate for the African Democratic Congress, or ADC.
Speaking to reporters, the candidate also criticized the politics of gossip, claiming that the governor has been disparaging the educational backgrounds of certain candidates, which has caused them to react.
“There is no doubt as to where our leader, Mr. Peter Obi, stands in this election,” he stated. He has repeatedly stated that he will work for me and that he is fully engaged in the November 8 governorship election as a member of the Labour Party.
“Mr. Peter Obi has made it clear that he believes I am a qualified candidate and that I will succeed. There is no question that he is employed by me.
Additionally, a press statement has been issued by the whole Obidient family worldwide urging all members to vote for me and requesting those who are unable to go to Anambra to do so to offer prayers on my behalf.
Moghalu claimed that the recent confrontation between APC candidate Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, and the state’s governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, and his wife had reduced the standard of government.
“I’ve been asked to talk about the vituperations coming out of Anambra State by a few people. I think there are a lot of topics to discuss, and we shouldn’t minimize ourselves, get involved in a lot of things, or disparage other people. We ought to be polite at our level.
“We ought to be able to identify issues in the government and discuss them, or we ought to promote ourselves instead. Tell them what you can do to improve society rather than talking about embarrassing topics because you are interacting with people.
“Discussing sex and educational background lowers the standard of governance. You should outline your plan of action if you believe the government hasn’t done enough, Moghalu said.
