Governor Hyacinth Alia’s request to add ten more Special Advisers to bolster his government has been granted by the Benue State House of Assembly.
Following the governor’s letter requesting the lawmakers’ approval, the approval was given on Thursday during plenary.
Lawmakers clarified that the ruling would enhance service delivery throughout the state and assist the administration in coordinating its development goals.
They pointed out that in order to give the governor professional advice on urgent governance challenges, the advisory team had to be expanded.
The new approval has allowed Governor Alia to expand his team even more, only days after he announced a new set of important appointments to statutory boards and critical agencies.
According to reports, the governor is anticipated to reveal the new Special Advisers’ names in the days ahead.
Details will be added soon.
