Since God did not call him to be a pastor, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has been asked to keep praying for him by Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, or FCT.
Wike stated that he would continue to assist the governor in performing his duties even as Eno prayed for him.
He made the call yesterday during the Ikot-Esu-Otomo-Azumini road’s commissioning in Akwa Ibom State.
The minister emphasized that forgiveness is a sign of strength rather than weakness and asked the governor to embrace this culture.
Wike stated: “Keep up the good work; forgiving is a strength, not a weakness. No matter what, connect with those who have previously supported you. This does not imply that you are weak; rather, it indicates that you have made the decision to advance Akwa Ibom, and for that reason, I will continue to stand by you.
However, you are a humble man and a man of God, so keep showing respect to everyone you relate to and let those of us In all honesty, I’m not sure if I’m cut out to be a pastor.
“I will continue to support you, but it takes a man of great character to keep praying for me because God has given it to you.
Therefore, if God has commanded you to pray, do so while I continue to be there for you. You do for me, I do for you, you fall for me, and I fall for you, is how I see politics.
