APC Denies Mismanagement: Councils, Not Chairmen, Receive Allocations

The Osun state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lambasted the state chapter of National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) for claiming that the seized local government allocation was paid to the chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement by Kola Olabisi, APC Director of Media and Information, on Sunday, explained that the allocation was paid into the local government councils’ accounts and not to the APC chairmen.

He chided the state chapter of NULGE led by Comrade Nathaniel Ogungbangbe for turning himself to the new interpreter of the court judgements in respect of the delayed federal allocations for the state council chairmen.

He said, “We want to, as a party which believes in the rule of law, make it abundantly clear that it is not the duty of the NULGE to interpret any court judgement and that the Court of Appeal judgement of the 10th of February, 2025 which reinstated the APC local government council chairmen and their councillors is still in force as there is no record anywhere that it was appealed against.

“It is also not true that the said federal allocations are paid into the account of any of our local government council chairmen or any of the APC member or chieftain but into the local government councils’ accounts,” Olabisi said.
