2027: Jonathan Set to Contest on PDP Ticket, Return to Aso Rock — Jerry Gana

Former President Goodluck Jonathan would run for office again in 2027, according to Professor Jerry Gana, the former Minister of Information and Orientation.

Speaking to reporters in Minna, the capital of Niger State, Gana said this.

He claims that Jonathan, as the flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, will run for president in the upcoming election.

He claimed that Nigerians were eager for Jonathan to return since they had lived under two presidents after him.

Gana cited former President Goodluck Jonathan’s 2015 statement that his ambition was not worth Nigerians’ blood.

“He was followed by another president who held office for eight years, and now another who has held office for two years.

“The difference is evident, and Nigerians have witnessed it. We are currently being asked by Nigerians to reinstate our friend, former President Goodluck Jonathan.

“I can confirm that Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will run as a PDP candidate for president in 2027, and we should be ready to vote for him to win the presidency again,” he continued.
