Chelsea Join Arsenal and Liverpool in Race to Sign Eduardo Camavinga

The Frenchman’s long-term future at the club is still up in the air. The dynamic midfielder has gradually made his way back into contention after recovering from the injury that hindered his early weeks of play. He has appeared off the bench against Espanyol, Levante, and Atletico Madrid, and he even scored a goal as a substitute in Tuesday’s Champions League matchup with Kairat.

His job is still far from safe, though. Summertime rumors suggested a possible exit, and as of right now, there doesn’t appear to be much indication of a clear path back into Xabi Alonso’s preferred starting lineup.

Jude Bellingham, Arda Guler, Federico Valverde, and Aurelien Tchouameni are all well ahead in the middle of the park, which increases the likelihood that a departure may occur as a result of insufficient playing time.

Camavinga is expected to have suitors from a number of elite clubs throughout Europe, especially in the Premier League, given his abilities.

Fichajes claims Chelsea has expressed interest in the France international and thinks his skills would infuse their midfield with much-needed inventiveness.

But according to the report, they are up against fierce competition from Arsenal and Liverpool, who have also identified the 22-year-old for a potential transfer.

According to the source, Camavinga is the type of aggressive midfielder with offensive ability that Mikel Arteta uses in his team. Meanwhile, Liverpool wants to sign him as part of their plan to become even more competitive.

With five years remaining on the Frenchman’s contract at the Santiago Bernabéu, the Spanish powerhouses have the leverage to demand a price far more than his Transfermarkt valuation of £52 million.

In order to strengthen their roster and relieve Moises Caicedo of the defensive responsibilities that came with his 100th Chelsea start against Benfica, Chelsea needs a dependable midfield cover.

Alongside Caicedo, Camavinga would provide much-needed stability to Enzo Maresca’s midfield, freeing up Enzo Fernandez to move freely in attack.

Madrid would probably want a high price to let the midfielder to leave, so the Blues will need to be at their best when it comes to free-spending to beat their competitors to the midfielder’s signature. Liverpool and Arsenal are also interested.
