Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has promised to support Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State, in luring in international capital.
Obasanjo stressed the need of leaders rallying domestic and foreign investors for Nigeria during his remarks on Wednesday at the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Conference Centre’s commissioning in Bauchi.
He claimed that Nigeria’s tourist industry might be grown to draw in outside capital.
We have the potential to grow and become one of Nigeria’s tourist destinations, he said. There will also be hotel accommodations available to those who attend.
“This international conference center will allow them to engage and hold discussion conferences, transforming Bauchi into the hub of tourism and attraction in Nigeria.”
“I want to congratulate you again. In addition, we are commissioning this and holding a conference to discuss investment and current needs in Nigeria. The mobilization of both domestic and foreign investment is necessary.
“Allow me to state this, Governor. In order to secure investments for Bauchi State, I’ll accompany you anyplace.
Mohammed also received praise from the former president for the state’s degree of progress.
“I was pleased with what I saw and heard on the development of Bauchi State. I had no idea that you would extend an invitation to come here so soon.
“Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Saldana of Sokoto, is one of the greatest Nigerians in our history, especially in our history of gaining independence and leading our nation, so this international conference center named after him is especially unique,” he continued.
