All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Joe Igbokwe has denied rumors that Nnamdi Kanu, the arrested leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), is suffering from declining health while under the Department of State Services’ (DSS) care.
In a post on his verified Facebook profile on Thursday, Igbokwe maintained that the separatist leader was “110 percent okay,” in contrast to the stance taken by Kanu’s legal team.
According to the APC stalwart, Kanu was responsible for killings and the disruption of the region’s economy, causing extensive damage in the South-East.
“I would like to share this with all Igbo in Nigeria and the diaspora this morning,” Igbokwe stated. It’s 110% okay with Nnamdi Kanu.
“We must not fool ourselves. For once, let’s be honest and disgrace the devil. Thousands of our people and businesses were slaughtered by Nnamdi.
“A man who led Igbo youths and women to murder our people within a decade, set fire to our houses, took our wives, shut down our marketplaces and businesses, and more is claiming to be ill.” He’s not even sick. All of these statements regarding his health are utterly false.
It was understands that Kanu’s legal team has repeatedly raised alarm over his health, warning that his continued detention without adequate medical care could lead to severe consequences.
