Ondo Amotekun Commences Recruitment Drive

The fifth batch recruitment exercise for the Amotekun Corps, commonly known as the Ondo State Security Network Agency, has begun.

The Corps stated that the recruiting, which was authorized by the state government, is a component of continuous initiatives to improve security and safeguard people and property throughout the state.

On behalf of the Corps Commander, Muyideen Fabunmi signed and released a statement on Sunday stating that the application period is open from Monday, December 1, 2025, to Monday, December 8, 2025.

Qualifications
Interested candidates must be Ondo State natives or people of Yoruba descent who have resided in the state for at least ten years, according to the Corps. Candidates must supply:

Certificate of Local Government of Origin
Evidence that the development levy has been paid for at least three years: a valid voter’s card or a national identity card
Additionally, candidates must have experience in paramilitary or security-related fields, such as local hunting, mechanical or automotive engineering, building and construction, electrical or electronics engineering, plumbing, welding, painting, tailoring, ICT skills like web or graphics design, or trade test certification in driving or works superintendent training.

“Spiritual endowment” was another additional requirement mentioned by the Corps.
Additionally, candidates must be at least 20 years old and present current documentation from a government hospital attesting to their physical and mental well-being.

Additionally, a Notary Public, the Chairman of a Local Government Traditional Council, or a Justice of the Peace must attest to their good character.
Additionally, applicants must provide proof from a member of their Community Development Association that they have resided in their current location for a minimum of three years.

Procedure for application

From Monday, December 1, 2025, until Monday, December 8, 2025, qualified candidates must access and fill out the recruiting form on the organization’s website, http://ossnamot.com.

Completed forms should be sent in a sealed envelope to the following address, together with any necessary credentials and endorsements:

Command Headquarters, Alagbaka, Akure, behind Reuben Fasoranti Park.
According to the announcement, shortlisted applicants will receive an SMS notification starting on December 8, which is also the application deadline.

According to reports, the Ondo State House of Assembly passed a law establishing Ondo Amotekun on March 4, 2020, which was later changed on July 13, 2022.

The agency’s duties include obtaining information, looking into and prosecuting suspects, working with comparable security organizations in other South-West states, protecting people and property, and making sure that people may travel safely throughout the state’s roads, forests, waterways, and other areas.
